Read the following text and answer the questions below.
Paragraph
1
Having a positive outlook is a choice. You can choose to think
thoughts that elevate your mood, and generally color your day with
brighter, more hopeful approaches to the things you do. If you want to
know how to think more positively, just follow these tips.
Paragraph
2
Understand the benefits of being a positive thinker. Choosing to think
more positively will help you take control of your life and make your
everyday experiences more pleasant. It will also have countless
benefits on your mental and physical health as well as your ability to
deal with change.
Paragraph
3
Set meaningful goals. Whatever your goal may be, you should keep
yourself busy working on it and believe in the cause you have set for
yourself. With each goal you achieve, no matter how small, you will
gain confidence and your self-esteem will increase. This will feed
more positivity in your life.
Paragraph
4
Explore your creative side. Taking the time to be artistic and to work
with your hands or explore your most original thoughts can do
wonders for your power to think outside the box. There are a number

of ways you can express yourself to become more positive. For
example, you can take a photography or oil-painting class.
Paragraph
5
Avoid filter-thinking. This is when you choose to only hear the
negative message in something communicated to you. For example,
your teacher might have praised you on a work well done, but he/she
mentioned a small area where you might make a few changes next
time. Your teacher is trying to help you identify where you could fix
just a few minor issues, and you are too busy turning this feedback into
a criticism, failing to see the praise. If you think this way, then you
will never see the positive in any situation.

And this tradition developed from the past to present in many ways. We can notice this changing in bride’s preparation for her wedding, groom preparation and traditional music.

subject

Anther factor which it is the party of wedding if it in tent it will cost much money, but in hotel is much better to make the party. In the UAE most people like doing their party of wedding in tent which cost much. In the past the party only contains family member, but these days they expand the invitation

The celebrating of wedding in the past took one week before the wedding night and one of the celebrating is the henna night or Laylat Al Henna which is a very special night for the bride since it is a ladies’ night only. The henna night is a time for all the bride’s sisters, female family members, and girlfriends to get together and sing and dance. In the present it takes less than week and some time it takes only one day which is wedding day.

The groom preparation in the past was simple and these days it consider simple if we compare it with bride preparation.
Traditional music in wedding is playing a big role in our culture. In the past the traditional music continuous singing, and dancing take place reflecting the joy shared by the bride’s and the groom’s family. Nowadays, we depend in DJ music, but we still kept the traditional of dancing special in man’s celebrating.

Another traditional element of the UAE customs is the Arabian Kohl or eyeliner. Nowadays, we can see the make-up with different colors.
In the wedding night the bride wear a simple dress, nowadays, the bride wear a white wedding dress which expensive depending on it style.

We can see how different the wedding dress form the past till Nowadays.

تقرير للصف الثاني عشر 2024.

السلام عليكم ..

ما ادري اذا كان الفصل الاول ولا الثاني … بس ان شاء الله تستفيدون

Just as Mrs. Waldman hands out the spelling test, you see Jeff
pull out a small piece of paper with a lot of little scribbling on it.
Jeff tucks the note into his closed fist but soon takes it out again.
While he’s taking the test, you see him looking back and forth between the teacher and his paper.
There’s no mistaking it – he’s cheating.

What Exactly Is CheatingCheating is when a person misleads, deceives, or acts dishonestly on purpose.
For kids, cheating may happen at school, at home, or while playing a sport.
If a baseball team is for kids who are 8 or younger, it’s cheating for a 9-year-old to
play on the team and hit home run after home run.

At school, in addition to cheating on a test, a kid might cheat by
stealing someone else’s idea for a science project or by copying
a book report off the Internet and turning it in as if it’s his or her original work.
Copying someone else’s words or work and saying they’re yours
is a type of cheating called plagiarizing (say: play-jeh-rise-ing).

How Do People CheatCheating can happen in a lot of different ways.
Jeff is doing it by sneaking answers to a test,
but it’s also cheating to break the rules of a game or contest
or to pretend something is yours when it isn’t.
When people cheat, it’s not fair to other people,
like the kids who studied for the test or who were
the true winners of a game or contest.

It’s tempting to cheat because it makes difficult things seem easy,
like getting all the right answers on the test.
But it doesn’t solve the problem of not knowing the
material and it won’t help on the next test – unless the person cheats again.

Sometimes it may seem like cheaters have it all figured out.
They can watch TV instead of studying for the spelling test.
But other people lose respect for cheaters and think less of them.
The cheaters themselves may feel bad because they know they are not really earning that good grade.
And, if they get caught cheating, they will be in trouble at school, and maybe at home, too.

Why Kids CheatSome kids cheat because they’re busy or lazy
and they want to get good grades without spending the time studying.
Other kids might feel like they can’t pass the test without cheating.
Even when there seems to be a "good reason" for cheating, cheating isn’t a good idea.

If you were sick or upset about something the night before and couldn’t study,
it would be better to talk with the teacher about this.
And if you don’t have enough time to study for a test because of swim practice,
you need to talk with your parents about how to balance swimming and school.

A kid who thinks cheating is the only way to pass a test needs to talk
with the teacher and his or her parents so they can find some solutions together.
Talking about these problems and working them out will feel better than cheating.

Truth and Consequences
Many kids feel tempted to cheat once in a while.
Most resist and do the work instead. Some kids cheat
once and feel so bad that they never do it again.
Others get caught and decide it isn’t worth it.
Unfortunately, some kids start cheating and feel like they can’t stop.

Kids who cheat may feel worried about getting caught.
Whether they are caught or not, these kids may feel guilty,
or embarrassed, or ashamed – or all three.
Even if the cheater feels fine or doesn’t get caught,
that doesn’t mean it’s OK. If you see someone cheating,
or if someone asks to copy your work, you can tell a teacher
or another grown-up.

If a kid gets caught cheating,
the teacher may give the kid a "zero" score on the test,
send him or her to the principal’s office, and contact his or her parents.
Worse than the bad grade may be the feeling of having disappointed other people,
like parents and teachers. A parent may worry that you are
not an honest person and a teacher might watch you more

closely the next time you’re taking a test.

Karen McCalley, an English teacher in New Jersey says,
"It is always disappointing when students cheat because it makes
me think the student doesn’t believe in himself.
I expect students to do their very best and am sad
when they don’t put their best foot forward."

Cheaters cheat themselves in a way because they don’t make an honest
attempt to learn as much as they can.
For instance, if you cheat your way through spelling tests,
you won’t learn how to spell. That can katch – I mean catch – up with
you when you get older! And adults who cheat – at work, sports, or in their
relationships – get into serious trouble, far more serious than a bad grade on a spelling test.

Making a ComebackThere are plenty of reasons why a kid shouldn’t cheat, but some kids have already cheated.
If that’s you, it’s never too late to stop cheating.
Cheating can become a habit, but like other bad habits,
a kid can always decide to act better and make better choices.
It might help to talk the problem over with a parent, teacher, or counselor.
Choosing to play fair and be honest again can help a kid feel relieved and proud.

There’s an old saying that cheaters never win and winners never cheat.
This may sound confusing because sometimes it seems like cheaters
do win – at least for the moment. But kids who don’t cheat are
true winners because, when they win, they do it fair and square.

تقرير , بحث , عن tundra / الإمارات للصف الثاني عشر 2024.

The Name of the report :-
tundra

Main idea
The word tundra derives from the Finnish word for barren or treeless land. The tundra is the simplest biome in terms of species composition and food chains The tundra covers about 20% of the word . The tundra in the north of canada is called a polar desert or cold desert . It doesn’t have sand , it has no camels , and there are no oases because al the water is frozen solid for almost 10 months of the year .
The report
# Growthforms: typical are ground-hugging and other warmth
preserving.
# forms including: tussock-forming graminoids, mats or cushion plants, often evergreen members of the heath family, rosettes, dwarf shrubs, some of which are deciduous in habit.
# Climate: The high latitude conditions of Koeppen’s ET climate type that impact life in this biome include; extremely short growing season (6 to 10 weeks), long, cold, dark winters (6 to 10 months with mean monthly derives from the Finnish word for barren or treeless land. The temperatures below 32° F or 0° C.), low precipitation (less than five inches/year) coupled with strong, drying winds. Snowfall is actually advantageous to plant and animal life as it provides an insulating layer on the ground surface.
# Edaphic controls: Permafrost, not cold temperatures per se, is generally believed to be what prevents tree growth. Furthermore, freeze-thaw activity, a thin active layer, and solifluction during the warmer months contribute to strong controls on vegetation patterns and create a mosaic of microhabitats and plant communities. Soil: No true soil is developed in this biome due to the edaphic factors mentioned above.
# Fauna: Strategies evolved to withstand the harsh conditions of the tundra can be divided among those species that are resident and those that are migratory. Among the small number of bird (e.g., ptarmigan) and mammal (e.g., muskox, arctic hare, arctic fox, musk ox) species that reside year-round on the tundra one commonly finds:
* Morphological adaptations
large, compact bodies following Bergmann’s and Allen’s rules, a thick insulating cover of feathers or fur, pelage and plumage that turns white in winter, brown in summer
( 3 )

* Physiological adaptations
ability to accumulate thick deposits of fat during the short growing season. Fat acts as insulation and as a store of energy for use during the winter, when animal species remain active.
# Distribution: The tundra biome is restricted to the high latitudes of the northern hemisphere in a belt around the Arctic Ocean. Many of its species, both plant and animal, have circumpolar distribution areas.
# Within the tundra biome a latitudinal zonation of communities is realized:
# High Arctic Tundra: essentially confined to the islands of the Arctic Ocean and characterized by scattered lichens and mosses on care rock surfaces and perennial forbs growing in protected crannies among sharp, ice-fractured rock debris .
# Middle Arctic Tundra: restricted to the Arctic Coastal plain where level terrain, a thin active layer, and freeze and thaw result in patterned ground, or rock polygons. The sorting of particles by freeze-thaw activity results in a waterlogged center to the polygons, a microhabitat conducive to sphagnum moss and sedges; and an outer ring that is drier and provides a microhabitat favorable to forbs and some dwarf heaths.
# Low Arctic Tundra: the majority of the tundra lies on better drained slopes with greater depth to permafrost than is encountered on the Arctic coastal plain. Here there is a greater frequency of woody shrubs: willow, birch, and various berry-bearing members of the heath family. Along streams willows and alders may be 10 feet high. On south-facing slopes needleleaf evergreen trees (spruce and fir) are established and represent the northernmost extensions of the great boreal forest to the south. (Such areas where two biomes interdigitate are known as ecotones.)
Finally

The tundra is very far north , Its called the " land of hhe midnight sun " . whether deserts are cold , I think it is difficult to live in any of them . so the tundra is very cold and hot . For 2 months per year the sun does not shine in the Arctic .
